As I look at this Rocket Team I have several Thoughts. Now that Harden is gone . . . 1. Thanks Harden for the years. I hope you get your championship this year and then the Nets go 0-82 for the next 10 years NOW - to the New Rockets. If we going young. . . GO YOUNG!!!! I want to start with guys I think should be moved. They are: Wall, Cousins, PJ, Ego, House This is not so much because of dislike or hatred -- Really just want more youngsters to check and try maybe picks EGO and TUCKER - I think they deserve to be moved to contenders This team is in rebuild and they could help the players become professionals but I would prefer they go More of a reward for services than a "get rid of them" PJ - Could help the Bucks/Boston/Toronto/Philly He is the Enforcer Giannis may need (they long but not strong) Ego - Indy (going home) similar to PJ - Wall and Cousins - Similar but I don't think they ADD to this team. They maybe the difference of maybe 2~4 wins ALSO -IMO Wall kind of held back BEAL. The second Wall goes out BEAL EXPLODES!!! I don't want that for Wood This IS NOT WALL'S TEAM!!!! IT IS WOOD'S TEAM!!!! TATE'S TEAM!! JONES' TEAM!! BROWN'S TEAM!!! Wall and Cousins are not on the same timeline I feel like I felt with the TMAC Trade: I felt Yao/Francis/Cuttino could have grown together TMac may have had more immediate upside but those three could have been special in 2 more years Wall is Wall. he is what he is. . . .there is no more growth IMO Same with Boogie Let's err on the side of growing our youth . House - I think he has topped out. Olidipo - He don't want to be here. . .then don't BAd game tonite but I still like Tate I think TATE, JONES, Brown - lock them into HOUSE type contracts 9 over 3 years . . . let them grow together BMac I am ambivalent on him. If you trade Wall, Oladipo and every player over 23, not only do you not have a leader and veteran to teach the young rookies, you also signal to Wood that this team is not about to win anything anytime soon, so he's 100% gone after 3 years. Sounds great in theory, but this won't work. You need veterans.
Wall, Gordon and Cousins aren’t going anywhere until the summer as earliest. I agree we need to go full young but I wouldn’t mind keeping guys like Wall and Gordon if we aren’t getting something decent in return. No stapling draft picks with them to unload them.
It would be nice if, say, 2-3 of those 6 veterans could actually play every night. I don't understand how ALL of those guys sat out with bumps and bruises tonight, especially short handed waiting on the trade. Of all things, I think I may miss Harden's durability most of all. We have been spoiled to have him play almost every game for 8 years, when all these other guys are like glass.
It's actually good for this team that they are all made out of glass. Gives the young guys playing time they normally wouldn't get. But yeah, it's kind of ridiculous that everyone is out lol. I think we're the only team so far this season to have the minimum amount of players without anyone being out for covid.
I think WALL WILL GET NUMBERS but I don't think they will be much different than numbers (not triple doubles but good numbers ) Westbrook was getting in OKC his last year Those numbers may translate to maybe 5 more wins this year and the next I don't think they are the difference between Playoffs or not d*mn sure not the difference between second round or not. I agree, they should move all the veterans to make a serious run at a top 4 pick, otherwise it's just going to be a waste of a season. It's going to be a great draft, and it's like 5 months away, we won't have to suck for a lot before we eventually get rewarded, don't be stupid and miss on the opportunity, make the right decision like the Spurs, Warriors and other smart organizations did, it's something that can single handedly change our future in a better way. What's even the point in trying to build around Wall, Gordon, Cousins? To have an 8th seed team for the next three years and then gift OKC 3 lottery picks in the upcoming years? No thanks.

Nwaba is older than BMac..... i don’t want to go all full youth. I agree with trade Gordon. Wall is basically impossible to trade without attaching an asset and we not bout to do that. So Gordon is the odd man out. wall minutes need to be capped at 32. We dont need him playing nearly 40 minutes a game unless it’s double OT. keep cousins because we still need another big to help Wood. trade Tucker. We have Kurucs, let evaluate him. Can’t do that with him on the bench. trade Bmac I want versatility over one dimensional. Nwaba does a lil bit of everything beside shooting send KJ to gleague. Too raw to enjoy at this point.
Tank for Cunningham. Give Mason more playing time. Developers Broderick Thomas. Woods and Tate are gone in 3 years imo to places who will pay them and/or give them more money. We are not getting someone to sign here.

Hold up. Wall held back Beal to do what, trying to be a Harden clone? I think we all know that is not what makes a team win games when it counts and in the Wizards case (can't even win games to get to the playoffs). Playoffs 4 out of 5 years with Wall. Nothing without him since.
