Not really.... I know many Houston "fans" who shitted on him too during his tenure here... Sure the only fans that defended him were primarily Houston fans and the narrative will flip so ****ing fast if he wins a ship or multiple now.
It's like that with every team. I know Laker fans who hated lebron when he came because they didn't want him to overshadow kobe's Laker legacy lol you can't please everyone. Ungrateful fans are everywhere
Harden did great things while he was here. Great memories. But at the end of the day, he didn't show loyalty. He screwed us over at the end. His reward for what he did here is the millions of dollars he made. I'm not rooting for him as a Net.
Not a good comparison... There have been LeBron stans all over the league and National media who constantly defended LeBron prior to him ever winning a ship.... That obviously doesn't exist with Harden.
When your day is long And the night, the night is yours alone When you're sure you've had enough Of this life, well hang on Don't let yourself go 'Cause everybody cries Everybody hurts sometimes Sometimes everything is wrong Now it's time to sing along When your day is night alone (hold on, hold on) If you feel like letting go (hold on) If you think you've had too much Of this life, well hang on 'Cause everybody hurts Take comfort in your friends Everybody hurts Don't throw your hand, oh no Don't throw your hand If you feel like you're alone No, no, no, you are not alone If you're on your own in this life The days and nights are long When you think you've had too much Of this life to hang on Well, everybody hurts sometimes Everybody cries Everybody hurts, sometimes And everybody hurts sometimes So hold on, hold on Hold on, hold on, hold on Hold on, hold on, hold on Everybody hurts Rocket River
It really does. As ridiculous as it sounds, Tilman really single handedly destroyed a team which I used as a distraction from daily life, and probably at the worst possible time for fans looking for a distraction in a pandemic where my social life has been impacted. I doubt he, Harden, or anyone else for that matter cares, as it is just a business, just a game, just entertainment , and just not that big of a deal to most people. Other Houston teams have been destroyed in the past, but never have they been at this level to begin with and never did they have a GM and a star of this caliber for this period of time, and never has the city so desperately needed something positive to focus on as they did. I have watched every playoff game and 95% of regular season games with Harden playing. I often left work early and worked from home just to catch a regular season game against any random team, would go out of my way to find a stream when out of the country on vacation. We will be seeing how many games this team can lose and where the lottery balls land every single year, if we don't trade away our draft picks for mediocre talent that ends up leaving. Hakeem may be the best player in franchise history because of the Championships, but to me personally it wasn't that exciting for me to watch him play as an individual as it was watching those teams as a whole. I would get just as hyped up when Vernon did something, or Elie/Horry/Sam hit a big shot. There is something different when a superstar has the ball in his hands and is the one bringing it up the court, because you know in a big moment the right guy already has the ball. When Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, Harden, have the ball every possession in a crucial game and are controlling the pace, vs you having to feed it to a big man who has 3 seconds to do something, it just isn't as exciting.
Harden is a great offensive machine who’s a no brainer HOF’er. But Hakeem was one of the most complete players to ever play. Dominated both ends. It was amazing to watch the artistry in the post, off the dribble, pick & pop, and the fadeaway baseline jumper that made you shake your head. Dream was amazing. I loved watching him frustrate opponents.
Yeah I’m not angry or bitter the D Antoni ball didn’t work it was clearly obvious last playoffs series where the Lakers figured it out quite easily Harden moved the needle back up for the Rockets and I appreciate that since the bar was dropped so low by Tmac
Dream played for the Rockets for 17 years The top is still untouched but the needle has been moved since we made it to the conference finals with Charles Barkley
Tmac, Steve or Yao never carried us to the WCF. Fact is, without the harden trade to Houston, we’d be stuck with airemy “giving his all” and “playing his guts out”. People would be lapping up that chicken little. because they wouldn’t know better and their expectations much lower
