I don’t want to get my hopes up. Don’t want to knee jerk. But if we have an engaged and dedicated Harden with this team, I could see some good things. And actually have some ammunition to make moves at deadline.
Nice to hear him say that. We know Harden just wants a ring, so if he can become convinced that the rockets give him a good chance at that, then (I think) he will want to stay. Sounds like a step in the right direction. Disappointing that we didn't finish it off with a W, though.
This is what one would expect Harden to say if he still wanted to be traded but didn’t want to create unnecessary drama in interviews.
I’m not getting my hopes up high. I made peace with the reality that he won’t finish the season here. Hopefully with tonight’s performance teams are upgrading their package to the proper value to obtain harden
To be fair, after everything that went down in the last few weeks, not wanting drama is already a huge win by itself.
The price just got higher, a LOT higher. Short of him staying, Harden playing like a superstar bodes well for us Rockets fans.
the price is so high that any team trading for him won't be able to significantly improve with everything they're giving up. he will stay
His tone didn't sound that way - he seemed genuine when he said it - there was an optimistic tone there that he hasn't shown thus far. I think he seems wood and how they played tonight, and knows there is still Wall, Cousins, and EG. Anyone has to think - wow, we might be really good. Tate, Brown, and others are showing that this team may actually be pretty deep
