So Morey's legacy is buying high and selling low on CP3, Lin, Anderson, and Westbrook?

FRPs are useless unless you have good scouting. We did decently well in the draft with Parsons, Capela, and Royc... oh never mind

I have far less patience and sympathy for Morey than I do Harden.

Never forget this was supposed to be a "gap" year for Morey to spend with his family. He couldnt jump on Philly's dick quick enough.

Morey's legacy is the mainstreaming of analytics in the game, as well as turning a mediocre franchise into a contender with his Harden trade.

    lmao...fake news

OKC went to Washington, GS, and Toronto offering up Harden, and they all declined...Houston was like the 4th option

Every team? No. We already know that at least 3 teams said they were good on trading for Harden.

The point is very simple and very relevant so if you don't see it then there is nothing anyone can do for you.

So you don't have a point.

    That's what I thought.

So anything pre-2017 doesn't exist? Interesting.

You should re-familiarize yourself with the 2009 and 2018 teams Morey built. Then ask yourself if it's his fault that they didn't win.

He made a lot of bad moves, but this thread is hardly representative of the story.

    Where is the graph?

Without a graph I cannot take anything you say seriously.

In 30 years, he'll be remembered for landing Harden (a former 6th man turned superstar) and never winning a chip here. That simple. No one will remember Lin, Ryno, CP, Howard or WB.

OKC has received a ton of backlash for years over how bad the Harden trade was for them. I highly doubt they would ever admit that they were the ones that reached out to us.
Regardless, Morey had been accumulating assets for years prior to that in order to put ourselves in the best position to strike when the opportunity came, and we were better situated for it then. The Harden trade was fantastic. The moves beforehand to get to that point were genius.

I agree, I didn't always like his moves, especially in the past couple of years. The CP3 and multiple firsts for Russ deal was so awful and one of my least favorite deals of all time. Morey wasn't perfect by any means, but overall he did a fantastic jo. He inherited a team with two broken superstars and had the team competitive every year without ever being allowed to tank to draft picks. Presti and Ainge and Masai, as great as they may be as well, have never done that.

    Lin fans...T-Mac stans...Russ stans...all terrible

T-Mac stans are some of the worst because of the way they try to rewrite history saying dumb sh*t like “T-Mac always played great in the playoffs” or “T-Mac gave it his all”

Who could Morey have signed instead of Ryan Anderson? That was a $20 Million hole in the rotation in 2018. Did we miss out on a big key to a championship formula when Morey acquired Anderson?

Morey DUMPED a broken T-Mac to the Knicks and the KNICKS WERE STUPID ENOUGH TO GET HIM

That's why I say the Rockets will NEVER be the Knicks

I just laughed when I read "acquiring Russ" wasn't listed.
