WTF was that finale? That thing looked like a hybrid of the basilisk from Harry Potter and the flying dog from The Neverending Story. I was intrigued by 9.75 episodes of this show... But that last .25 was ludicrous. They really didn't need to go that sideways. That being said, I'll be there for season 2. I like the characters and world they're building.
Late 60s early 70s were full of this weird, trippy animation/art style. You need to be on some heavy hallucinogens to get it. There are tons of theories on the show that are worth looking in to. Spoiler The snake flying is all about dark photons, something that was pulled from the Mithraic scripture and is not understood by humans. (Yet)
Finished the show. Firstly, the show is great. I was very confused on who to "root" for as in who were the good guys and bad guys. I'm sure I dozed off on a couple of important plot points. I need roku and hbo to get on the same page. I don't appreciate that that thing at the end got that big with no explanation. I'm down for season 2, but I'm going to rewatch this over the next few eeks.
I imagine if you watched it 5 times you’d still have no clue what was going on when the dbz dragon appears.
I mean really???!? Where's the science behind an Amy Lee screaming vampiric pregnant android. Something doesn't pass the eye test. I'll still watch season 2. I'm just hedging that little punk Campion is going to be eaten by that Big Trouble In Little China castoff.
Yeah, when I heard about this show, I was all like "bruh this is going to all boil down to a twist where a robot flies around like a crucifix and screams loud and the screams make people explode in puffs of pure blood and goo and then all like crucifix robot flies to a big space ship and goes medieval screaming on all their asses like darth vader in a grindhouse movie but better." I should look up my post on it TBH.
Anyone listened to the companion podcast? I listened to the first episode which was based on the first 3-4 episodes of the show, I believe. It was much more about the technology and possible moral/ethical questions about robots than it was the events of the show and what was happening. I'm not sure I'll finish it because more than anything I want to listen to discussions about the actual show and what things might mean. I really don't understand why everyone hates the kids so much.
I wonder if the writers are required to take bath salts before working on the new season. Ok, so the flying snake monster is actually a cisgender universe that can move between dimensions. OH, and bring in more kids!
Ya'll need to spoiler some of this ****. This show is the reason I will get HBO Max, once I saw the blue screaming lady I knew this was a show for me.
Season finale was months ago. You need to finish the season. Spoiler alert. It was extremely predictable.
Months ago? You should spoiler stuff years out not. None of this was big plot points but some surprises where revealed. Not everybody has had a chance to watch stuff especially newer stuff. Don't make me put you on my list.
Yeah man, spoiler honeymoon is over months after the season is done. Don't read the thread if you don't want to be spoiled. Great show, you should catch up.
