I answered your question. Its not the individuals. Its the cabinet as a whole

When an organization diverifies it wants different perspectives. So in this discussion you want perspectives from people from other backgrounds. Not that they have better perspectives just different ones to add to the people who went to elite schools

You are the only person who needed diversity explained. Ironic because im sure you argue for minority diversity everywhere

Matter of fact i know youre not stupid youre just being difficult

don't just parrot tucker's intellectually dishonest spin,

    think, first.
assuming that you can think for yourself
Trump went to Wharton, an elite school
    Javanka went Harvard
Ben Carson went to one of the ivy league school
    Mnuchin went to Yale
Elaine Chao, Wilbur Ross, and the press secretary went to ivy league school,
the disgraced wife beater, former Trump aide went to Harvard
former Chief of Staff, scarimuchi, was a harvard grad
the American Nazi, of Jewish ethnicity, Stephen Miller, went to Duke, an elite school

    etc.

This is somewhat less true now, but just a couple of years ago the overwhelming number of black students at Harvard were the sons and daughters of African and Carribean immigrants, who are professors at American universities. Very few descendants of American Slaves, much less non elite US backgrounds. We are now starting to see legacy admissions form the black elite at these schools.

Why don't we have some high school dropouts represented in this cabinet?

Whatever, elite colleges are just an idea.

True, but as we seen with Obama and Michele and others imho you see that after spending most of their pre-politician adult life around their IVY peers you see them (and not just opportunistically, though that, too, adopting the general contentment of the one perecent, their school chums and their coworkers who largely went to the same schools.

    btw,

not all graduates of elite schools are alike; some are competent, some are not.

    https://www.mediaite.com/politics/w...-down-at-hearing-for-play-acting-as-a-lawyer/

    case in point;

Harvard grad Rep Katie Porter vs. Yale grad Steve Mnuchin during a House committee hearing on the Treasury Department’s coronavirus pandemic response.

Secretary Mnuchin wrote a memo to Fed Chiar Powell to recall the $455 billion, so far unspent, for the CARES Act pandemic relief. Porter noted that the CARES Act states that any money left over from the relief bills will be sent back to the general fund on January 1, 2026, and no sooner.

“Is today the year 2026, yes or no?” Porter asked, earning some criticism from Mnuchin who said it was a “ridiculous” question before yelling at her for wasting everyone’s time.

“Well Secretary Mnuchin, I think it’s ridiculous that you’re play-acting to be a lawyer when you have no legal degree,” Porter added.

Mnuchin then explained that he has several lawyers advising him at the Department of Treasury.

“Secretary Mnuchin, are you in fact a lawyer?” Porter continued to push.

“I do not have a legal degree, I have lawyers that report to me,” Mnuchin conceded.
