Another new name... Jake Sullivan, National Security Adviser. https://carnegieendowment.org/experts/1335
Anybody know if Blinken loves him some "humanitarian" regime change wars and murderous sanction actions? As we saw with Obama, it does not help to have those types of advisors urging the president to do those types of things.
OK, this is cruelly funny. If someone tells me it's racist I'll take it down but James Brown is my Godfather Of Soul. I cut my teeth on his music. And Ms. Greenfield is a beautiful competent woman we are proud and lucky to have serve. President-elect Joe Biden is expected to name Linda Thomas Greenfield as his pick for U.S. ambassador to the U.N., sources tell @ABC News. https://abcn.ws/3nRAc8O e
https://www.commondreams.org/news/2...ics-denounce-support-invasions-iraq-and-libya Oh, well looks like we have us another warmonger. Guess we can blow a few more trillions $$ on bs that makes us hated around the world, deprives Americans, even working class Trump supporters too besotted by Fox and Friends to know it of relief, which just makes them more militantly nuts. Hey, defense stocks should be a good investment. ****. *** Antony Blinken as secretary of state, progressives raised alarm over Blinken's support for the disastrous 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq and the 2011 assault on Libya as well as his recent consulting work of behalf of corporate clients in the tech, finance, and arms industries. Blinken served as deputy national security adviser and deputy secretary of state in the Obama administration ... "has also supported interventionist positions." "He once broke with Biden and supported military action in Libya, for example," the Post noted, referring to the Obama White House's catastrophic decision to join with NATO to bomb that country, an armed intervention that helped unleash a violent civil war that is still ongoing. When it came to Syria policy under Obama, Blinken is also reported to have supported more aggressive military measures against the government of President Bashar al-Assad and more recently has indicated that the Biden administration would opt for leaving U.S. troops in the war-torn country.
Biden is, probably going to appoint a hawkish woman Praise the Lord !! to be the first Secretary of Defense. Should make all the contented moderates as well as the MSNBC liberals thrilled.
There's some truth in your rants, but could you be any farther left? Bernie as President with hardcore socialists in the cabinet. No way it would've happened. We're not ready for it. Look how many assh---I mean, good people voted for Trump.
True but you don't influence if you don't advocate. We need a far leftest viewpoint and Glynch gives it to us. I wouldn't have thought twice about Blinkin without his post and I will now watch what he says and does. Blinken has served in the past two Democratic administrations, including as a deputy national security adviser from 2013 to 2015 and as deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017. He sounds at least experienced and you learn from your mistakes. At least he's not the CEO of EXXON.
I'm as dovish as they come -- had big problems with our invasion of Afghanistan, for instance -- but I think it is appropriate for a President to populate his cabinet with people that have a variety of views. He should balance this choice with advisors who are much more skeptical about US intervention.
I appreciate a far left viewpoint but I don't appreciate that glynch views everything through his personal beliefs and his purity test. He is far to biased to take his views seriously.
