Incredible deal for Gordon, he loses 4 million in the short term but gains 3 extra years at $30 each, fully guaranteed! If I was an NBA player I would want his agent, I was thinking max of $25 per year, 3 years max.
Man at least Jordan is willing to spend. I'd honestly rather have Jordan as an owner, sad to say, but the guy does want to win. You know he's super competitive at everything, maybe one day he gets that he needs to hire better decision makers but he doesn't have the capital other owners have and is still willing to splash. I think this deal is a bit too long. I do get it. Jordan doesn't like losing. He'd rather his team be 8th in the playoffs than bottom 5. This keeps them mediocre is the issue. They were a fringe playoff team this entire time and depending on how good Lamelo can be in his first year they'll likely be a fringe playoff team again. The issue is, long term, they have to build through the draft. People aren't willingly going to go to Charlotte. Giannis isn't for example going to say "Yeah, after being in Milwaukee, I want to go to Charlotte!" Maybe Jordan can convince someone on his name and legacy like Pat Riley has but Pat Riley is in Miami so.... Their roster right now is....I don't know, it is interesting at least.
for some reason, everyone is getting overpaid like the cap spike offseason. considering the cap didn't even go up (i think), i'm not sure why. i know the league is going to hold on to more of the players' salaries in escrow due to covid, but unless there's something else i'm not sure why all these role players are getting all this money.
Hayward's probably getting traded at some point in the next season, he makes no sense in Charlotte when they have probably one of the 3/5 youngest rosters in the league, i wouldn't be shocked if this is all orchestrated and he ends up in Indiana at some point for Turner, they wanted him but Ainge was asking Turner and Oladipo or Warren to complete the sign & trade lol, maybe the Pacers called the Hornets and promised a pick or Turner.
Still why that much money? I applaud him for making his mail I seriously would never give him that much money Rocket River
I guess that was just his market, and with marginal starters/bench guys getting 20M per season left and right, i'm not shocked Hayward got 30 tbh.
What If Terry/Hayward are getting shipped as we speak to Houston for Russ/Gordon? Terry just posted that he has already been traded... Terry Harden Hayward Tucker Wood (Full MLE still available...)
Lol thank you but that's not necessary man, come on, i mean, if you do it to help clutchfans that's great, but don't bother because of what we talked about
Paul's injuries weren't nearly as flukey, nor nearly as serious with not nearly as many games missed. So, see Paul, Chris and his statement stands.....literally nobody else. Paul might be an example of coming back from injuries, though
