Multiple league sources say the Bucks are active in trade discussions; they’re looking to move on from Eric Bledsoe, and have offered him to several teams. They’re also in pursuit of Rockets forwards Robert Covington and P.J. Tucker; Houston doesn’t have a pick in this draft and is moving toward a retooling period with Russell Westbrook wanting out. https://nbadraft.theringer.com/
If they trade Cov they better trade James too. Can’t keep him here with a rebuild because he will walk for free.
Sounds like looking to rebuild with picks. This just farther illustrates the Rockets know Harden is gone. Get picks while getting rid of vets
Picks is the real prize for a team looking to rebuild. If you are looking to win now you don’t look to get rid of Covington for picks.
Not surprised other teams think they can fleece the Rockets with a rookie GM and an unstable, impulsive owner in Tilman.
Why don’t Tilman ask the NBA if his team can take a year off? I’m sure he wouldn’t mind now that he had a season under his belt with no real revenue stream ..... cheap b*stard
Unless Harden is gone, there is no chance we unload any of our wing depth. Why would you give up this to unload Westbrook? Harden / Gordon / McLemore House / Nwaba Covington / Tucker Wings and forwards are the hardest and most expensive positions to fill in the league...PGs and Centers are the easiest to find and cheapest to fill. be patient.
Bledsoe is horrendous, and I only trade RoCo if I'm looking to acquire picks in the 2021 draft. I'm down for a retool, but you can't do this weird middle of the road thing where you move on from half the team. If you want to reboot, it starts with Harden, so if that's a non-starter, then ship Westbrook's sorry ass out and get on with the damn thing.
