Terry Rozier. beggers can't be choosers here. some of yall really need to come to terms that the package for westbrick isn't going to be exactly mind blowing
Time to spam "two triple double seasons in a raw" over the internet just to be sure Dolan, MJ & co remember that.
Then again, Tilman could use this as an excuse to send Harden somewhere in return for picks, young players, and a couple of expiring or non-guaranteed contracts. Get more picks at the deadline from those expirings, and end up saving himself a buttload of money by getting as far under the salary cap as the league allows. Sure, not having a marquee name will eat into profits, but we're looking at a season with possibly no tickets sold anyway. Plus with Morey gone, he's probably got some China money coming back this year. Don't forget that Tilman has roughly a half BILLION in loans coming due, and at least half of those were short-term.
This is a good point. Tilman has so much money tied up in those two that the temptation to get rid of them both and start over completely has to be overwhelming. His better bet would be to sell the damn team, but under the current circumstances, in a COVID world, there is no way he can do that right now. Dude's up against it. I almost feel bad for him. Almost...
I would rather see a high draft pick or picks coming with it. We have to get back what we lost in that Paul deal. I agree with you, I think some are going to get hurt once they see a 6th man bench warmer as the main part of the deal.
Harden and House are like rabbits. Hornacek was hired under false pretenses. They said hey boys you like Horny? They said. What do you think? That's probably what set this whole thing a blaze. They were misled.
we're pretty much at a pick your poison type deal. It all depends on where you stand. if you're wanting to just rebuild period, yeah the picks etc are preferable but you're likely not getting that trying to unload a unhappy westbrick on the other hand, what we're most likely to see is since harden is still here, an attempt to get back a collection of bad contracts for some type of serviceable players. This assumes with harden, you're still trying to compete. Now whether someone like that or not is up to them. You have a mvp caliber player still so give him some players that fit and see what happens. That's a pretty plausible logic. The season is around the corner in a month. FA period starts next week. We'll know what direction they're going to try and maintain soon enough
