Nurse is about to get a fine. Which is good, because he's trying to light a fire under his championship team.
i don't think he matters. he's basically redundant to everything they do. i guess he would provide depth but there's nothing tatum/brown/smart don't have that hayward has. honestly, i'd almost prefer if we was out there if i was toronto. and is there any justice in the universe? marcus smart pulls off a suspension-worthy flop and the universe's response is to make him unconscious from 3 and completely swing a playoff series. weak universe, weak.
Toronto looks like they have a plan and will probably die by it - get Marcus Smart to take more shots. It's a sound strategy.. you'd rather him than Tatum, Brown or Kemba heave up longballs. Not much else you can ask for...
To me, this is a weird take. This is the playoffs - depth matters. Every healthy body matters. Especially someone the caliber of a Gordon Hayward. It's not like he's some bench scrub (like a Clemons or a Frazier). Are Tatum and Brown better overall players than Hayward? Most likely. Is Smart? Debatable. But to say that Toronto would love to see him out there, is just flat out wrong. Just because a player is "redundant" or provides the same skills as another player on the team, doesn't mean that he doesn't matter.
Siakam is an overpriced role-player without Kawhi. This dude is not worth $129 million franchise player money. Ujiri just handicapped his team for the next 4 years.
At least they got a Championship out of all this. What have the Rockets gotten? A repeating cycle of hope and disappointment.
Too much Landry's in the bubble. He got real skinny before the restart, must be smashing the burgs at Disney
