I don’t entirely agree with the article. If players like AD and Giannis decide to forego the post up and pass the ball, the Rockets will gladly take that option as well because the size different is completely mitigated. Teams like LAL and MIL have to take the post ups.
Perhaps its repetitive because the masses just do not understand Morey and D'Antoni's philosophy and system. I mean look at all the ignorance on CF???
I enjoyed the article. Hadn't previously thought of how the Rockets are playing mind games with the opponent to bait them into taking more 2s than they otherwise would. Before they were focused on the 3 is more than 2 on the offensive side, looks like they are also trying to use it to their advantage on the defensive side as well.
