Quick take, trump isn't thinking about the election anymore or the impact this additional act of corruption will have on the election. Instead , he now is only worried about any post presidency charges. So he fulfills stone's request for clemency.

It is impossible to plumb the depths of trump’s corruption and that of his minions.

Roger Stone has been a cancer since the Reagan administration but he was finally charged and then Don the Con grants him clemency. Boy things must really be looking bad for him...

I watched the Epstein story on 20//20 and his arrogance of never being caught or prosecuted reminded me exactly of Trump.

Btw why not impeach Trump again?

This would pass the House in days.

Is Mitch going to get enough votes to dismiss without a trial now?

Could Trump possibly be acquitted? Even if he is....another vote to acquit this piece of **** again from Collins et al basically seals their fate and hands Schumer the keys in January.

Actually wouldn't Republicans be better off with Pence at this point? For real.

Edit: why not summarily remove him in November or January? That might actually be even better. Get him the **** out if there with a Democratic Senate on Jan 3. Congrats, President Pence. You have 2 weeks to GTFO

replace "Reagan administration" w Nixon presidential campaign

the timing of this Trump-issued clemency suggests that the dotard has given up on winning the Nov election, no?

Bill Barrs dress rehearsal for this cover up was obviously Iran Contra where the corrupt use of the presidential power of the pardon can be used to cover up crimes.

Trump and Barr deserve to share a cell at Rikers about this time next year.

    Nothing will happen.

Stone a few days ago literally said he didn’t roll on Trump when he could have and the President owed him.

Today Trump gave him exactly what he wanted in front of the whole world and not a god damn thing will happen to Trump.

I agree. The last couple of weeks he’s just gone full Trump. He knows he’s done. He’s just ignoring Covid and is just trying to be as divisive as possible. Is only focus now is to appeal to his rapidly shrinking fan base, and to
Yes, I’ve given up hope that Trump will end up in a jail cell. But, I do have hope that when Trump gets voted out of office he brings down the Republican party with him. The Republicans in Congress have stuck by Trump during all this corruption, and now I hope they pay a steep price.
