Yeah Hinch gotta take the fall for that one. That moment when the MLB told them to stop seem like the perfect time to gather the team together and let them know he wasn't going to tolerate it anymore
I agree they should have stopped. That’s pretty disappointing that they chose not to. We don’t know That other teams stopped, my guess is they did not. I wouldn’t give Pettitte too much credit, he mostly told half truths.
First I do not condone the cheating that was going on. But in the case of Hinch it becomes a little more complicated in my opinion. People say he should have stopped it. How would he execute that desire exactly? Say he did say we have to stop this. If the players said no what were his options? Go the Lunhow? What could he have done? You have a team that is winning and exciting the fans. Do you option all the guys with options and bench the rest and put a garbage product on the field? You can’t do that as suspicions would go through the roof. Do you go to Manfred yourself and destroy your year? If you do that the city of Houston would want to hang him just like they want to hang Fiers. Sure he took a bat or whatever to the monitors, but that really was not viable long term. I guess you could have Lunhow threaten the jobs of the lower level technical people involved in getting the video over to the table from centerfield. But what would stop them from going to the media? I have thought about this some and I am wondering how Hinch could have stopped it without drawing a lot of unwanted attention to the organization. I am by no means excusing him or giving him a stay of execution but I just don’t see a viable way he could have effectively stopped it without ruining the 2017 they were having. Talk about an ultimate rock and a hard place.
Did they take away our championship yet? No? Well then Max Keller can go **** himself. A Yankees fan asked me if I’m still supporting those cheaters. Nobody’s ever cheated and played for the Yankees. Never happened.
LOL!!!! Apparently you can get your own of this bad boy from the site below. I'm getting one for sure. https://www.bonfire.com/trashstros
In my opinion, Hinch should have told the team enough is enough the day MLB told baseball teams no more that day in September of 17. The Sept. MLB ruling gave Hinch the floor and something concrete to stand on for the team to stop electronic sign stealing before the playoffs began. It would have looked good for that to be in the report, even if the team flicked him off.
There is a reason why people won't post the video of that interview and are using a picture when the video would be easy to get... It is clearly a necklace. But time for the Yankee fans to get riled up about it and demand players get banned. EDIT: Jomboy just doing Jomboy things, extending that 15 minutes.
