The Ringer gives Ben McLemore some love in their piece on the All Development Team. It's great to see Ben getting some recognition but my big question is this; HAVE THEY NOT WATCHED HARTENSTEIN PLAY?!?!?! IDIOTS!!!! https://www.theringer.com/nba/2019/12/26/21037711/all-development-team-luka-doncic-brandon-ingram
On one hand, when he's on, hes probably like our top 2 important role player. When hes not its like....god damn man, I just wish our players were consistent.
I hear this often. I understand this thought process. But when a player is consistently good they are a star. And if they are a star they are not a role player. I suppose Tucker is consistent in his effort, defense and rebounding. And his shooting has been great over-all this season. But he has off shooting nights too. But even Eric Gordon is super streaky. I think my hope for McLemore is that he is consistently good on defense. He's been improving in that regard as he becomes more comfortable in our defensive sets. But I'd be very happy if he just gets to that level of being somebody we can count on at that end of the court because, in my opinion, there aren't very many shooters that can't be expected to go through cold streaks and off nights. It's defense and effort you can rely on.
but he is a bad teammate! he is a ball hog ! him going to the line a million times a game makes his teammates stagnate and reduces their performance
Absolutely hate relying on players like mclemore and green. When they have an off shooting night you just know they are going to be providing a whole lot of nothing else to make up for it
