Man this guy continues to be a monster, up to 27.9 PPG from last year 16.9 and doing it with 41% from 3 at 5.8 attempts a game. Small sample size, but with his Finals appearance I don’t think you can deny he’s the real deal. How much better can he get? Who would you compare him too? Could he be the ideal All-Star spacing big man and even be future leader of a team?
I don't think he's a long term carry a team guy, BUT I think he can be a Pippen/Marion-type player. 16 ppg-21ppg with 6 rpg - 9 rpg.
Their record is decent so far 6-2. The two loses are to BOS and MIL, but they are beating the mid tier and scrubby teams. Their schedule gets tougher with Lakers and Clippers. Will like to see if Siakam can rise to the occasion.
His stats are off the charts, and he's a good defender too. But man, I'm just not convinced he can take over a playoff game as the #1 option. He's no Harden/LeBron... I think he's just a really really good #2 option.
True, and not only about Harden tbh, Beal is another one that suddenly comes to my mind, pretty sure there are others. Personally i think Harden is more the outlier here, and not many people believe in him cause he was a bit covered in OKC, but that's just me. i could be very well wrong.
He can definitely be a #1 option. It was obvious in the finals. Going to take an ESPN talking head to confirm before clutchfans gets on board, but the cat is already out of the bag among nba execs.
Full season needs to be played to see, if he draw these comparisons, entirely. Pippen and Marion played at a high All-Star caliber for a decade. But, I do agree Siakam ceiling could be higher.
