Live in Austin and all these Dallasonians are starting to talk their mess again with football season coming up. Starting a thread to highlight all wack things about Dallas. friendly crap talking type thing though some of them do get offended pretty easily. I'll start it off. 1. Dallas is south oklahoma, not texas. 2. driving a lincoln will get you assassinated 3. first case of ibola in the US 4. Dallas backwards reminds me of salad and vegetables are wack af. 5. the best part about Dallas is i45 south Feel free to add and provide some ammo. Cheers. Lastly, if you are from Dallas chill out. Play a game of wheel of fortune and try not to buy a vowel:
It's boring and doesn't have any charm- it's not considered a 'Deep South' area like Houston is. Cookie cutter chain restaurants everywhere- good luck finding a hole-in-the-wall place to eat amazing food. There's a mild racist undertone on sports radio. Frisco is so ridiculously wealthy that there are billboards with checklists for plastic surgery for the bored wives. Cowboys fans are angry.
Too bad he wasn't in our section. A stop would have been put to that ish with a quickness. It was about 90% hispanic on Saturday which was a great night for baseball. Low '80's and a steady breeze which, for once, made that 3rd rate cow pasture bearable. Concessions were still a unmitigated disaster...as always.
That Trinity "River" bridge is so pointless, an arched bridge that runs over a small ass creek. So.Dumb. They try so hard to be avante-garde up there.
This is pretty lame. Not that you're wrong, but still.... The same things can be said about Houston/multiple other counties, same as Central Texas....so there ya go....
The majority of what you wrote could be used to describe Houston. Now the part in bold I have an issue with because I never pulled that from my listening to Dallas sports radio(which I will always say is one thing Dallas has wayyy better than Houston...mainly thanks to 1310 the ticket).
I moved to the DFW area in 2013 for a girl. Fortunately I married the girl and we have a beautiful 4 year old but, make no mistake about it, every time I go back to Houston to visit friends/family I try to plot a way to move back home. I live in the Frisco area and it's really nice but nothing beats Houston and just the feel of the city.
