ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Pacers 11/5/2018

I can’t understand how CP has only had 1, maybe 2 good games this season. One of his biggest strengths last season was his consistency.

 

I disagree, i remember in the beginning of the season he constantly had those games he has right now. It was the playoffs where he started to dominate night in and night out.

Maybe he will get more consistent as he plays. I hope so. Part of the problem is probably the different lineups and lack of chemistry. The one consistent trait I don't want to see from last year is him missing games every month for his knee, hamstring, or whatever else is ailing him. These games have proven that we need our power 3 in Clint, James, and CP3 all healthy to stand any chance of doing what we need to do to start a winning streak again. Speaking of lingering issues, what is up with Nene's calf? It's at the point they don't even mention him anymore. It must be one heck of a strain to keep him out all preseason and all this season so far.

 

Yup. Not paying him 40 mil to give 1 good game every week or two

If the Cavaliers are willing to take Knight and Chriss’s contract, they could also solve some problems of their own while dealing JR Smith and Kyle Korver.

I’m really excited about this game

2 straight wins against the Nets and Bulls is nice considering how we had been playing before this road trip, but those 2 teams are trash...u win this game against a very quality opponent then a corner might actually be getting turned

Oladipo has become 1 of my favorite players in the NBA...I was laughing at Indy for what they got in the Paul George trade, but Dipo and Sabonis have made me look like a fool...if I’m a Pacer fan, I’d be very excited about how things have turned out post-Paul George

 

kind agree but even if you win tonight you still need to keep winning..i believe rockets are as good as they were last year but injuries derailed us

 

It's a tough test to slow down Oledipo. The Pacers will fight hard on their home court. Defense and rebounding is the key to success. Our players will have to raise their game.

Game 11 is more important. Thats when you see if MDA will get fired.

 

I think the plan with Bzdelik should be building toward a more Offense oriented Indy team with 2 more Allstars.

I don’t feel Clint hasn’t been trying. He looks more confident on offense and has shown some new moves and driving ability from the elbow we hadn’t seen before. He doesn’t seem to be affecting as many shots around the paint though. Still looks pretty damn good on the perimeter for a center when forced to switch.

Is it that he’s not getting as many alley oops that makes people feel like he’s regressing?

Seems like he start seasons off slow, he did the same thing last year. I think he'll alright, it kind of looks like he's pacing himself.
