Hes doing a bit better now. Just want him to play better defense and not take so many ill advised shots.
Yeah, I’m not seeing the bad defense everyone seems to be talking about. My eyes are fixed on him every defensive play. https://stats.nba.com/players/opponent-shooting/?Season=2018-19&SeasonType=Regular Season&DistanceRange=By Zone per stats.nba.com Player...........RA............ITP (non-RA).....mid-range........left corner 3........right corner 3......above the break 3... Carmelo Anthony has warts but he brings a skill set and value that is needed on the Rockets from time to time. He was a minimum signing and overall has done what was expected/hoped. There will be nights where he doesn’t match up and shouldn’t play heavy minutes.... but there are also nights where the Rockets need someone else that can score and create for himself and Anthony can do that. Anthony has a role and really isn’t the problem for the Rockets. Another high leverage wing, back up point guard and PF/C rotation piece all are bigger concerns.
I just did some calculating and looked at the stats ,Melos defense did get better ,also hes now in the plus category ,with like a +.6,earlier in the year he was in the negative among mcw ,im happy for him.
