We squeak by with wins the past few weeks because, despite the coaching and playcalling, certain players step up and rise to the occasion (or the other team has a Peterman). Think how dominating we could be otherwise.
he still made big time throws and drew an important pass interference to tie the game. Watson is clutch
I don't disagree. I was just saying that a lot of the blame is on Watson too. For sure he's being done no favors by the worst HC/OC in the league and a struggling O line.
Im still all in on Watson, but he was horrible, along with our OL. He has been average at best this season. Pretty disappointing.
He was horrible because he wasn't his usual self. The Dallas game hurt him. I imagine he should look significantly better next week.
It's definitely on Watson as well. I heard a stat the other day that Watson's average time to throw a pass is the worst in the NFL. 2nd worst was coincidentally Josh Allen. I've tempered my expectations of Watson quite a bit recently. I still think he can lead us to a superbowl eventually but in no way do I think he is a generational talent anymore.
Bob probably was hired and extended because he's so skilled at making any team under his leadership to ook average. Our owner loves to waddles in mediocrity.
Very true. If it wasn't for a Frank Reich coaching mistake and Peterman being Peterman, we could easily be 1-5 instead of 3-3.
I mean he's still effectively a rookie and sometimes it shows. It's always good to not be blinded by the flashes of brilliance and have more tempered expectations....but I still think he develops into a top QB one of these days.
