i had the pleasure of going to a dinner party in La Jolla on my last night and met a real estate agent. she told me the home we were renting in mission beach for the week was actually on the market! i think i've convinced my wife to strongly consider a winter home in Mission Beach or Pacific Beach. I got her number and we're going to keep talking and she's going to connect with the owner of the house we rented as a start.
Dude I stayed at the same residence inn as you this weekend, was at another hotel further done for the week. The location was awesome and no bums whatsoever. It was lively and the weather was absolutely perfect . Everybody was in a good mood. Sounds like someone dropped you off in Beaumont and said it was San Diego
I just got back and honestly do not understand how someone would hate that place unless you like to hate on things. I need to move there. Amazing weather, terrain, food, nightlife, beaches and people.
San Diego is the most mediocre, unsophisticated city I have ever lived in. Poor infrastructure Mediocre food scene Poor sports town Bro, douche culture Ocean—cannot go in without a wetsuit 9 months of the year Huge homeless infestation Very small downtown, mainly suburban (boring) with rural (boring)
Hypersensitive, easily offended residents-if you say anything critical you get a 2 year old response, “why don’t you leave if you don’t like it here”—I did.
Spent 6 months in San Diego. Nice place to visit but wouldn’t want to live there. A complete lack of uniqueness or personality. Worth visiting though.
I remember my sister tried to move there. Too expensive, mediocre food. My stepdad was dismayed there. People begging for gas money.
went there once for comic-con had a great time the beaches and the womenz i would love to buy house right on the beach wake up every morning drink my coffee and check out all the ladies running on the boardwalk, what a life that would be
Except the weather is not perfect year round...gets chilly from Dec - mid March (can and does get down to low 40’s; not uncommon for a daytime high only in upper 50’s—once a month Santa Ana that lasts for 4-5 days gets daytime high in the 70’s, still chilly in morning and evening...bone dry will have your skin drying out)...May Gray/June Gloom...late August - late Sept not uncommon to have heat waves where temperature exceeds 100.
wow, i don't remember posting this years ago... but I did go ahead and buy a place in Mission Beach. looking forward to spending some quality time this winter there
Was there and decided to meet up with the Texas Exes football watching party Everyone who lived there enjoys living there
