If it's the same thing they smelled when Kwahi went down during the playoffs last year then it's probably just cherry flavor coolaid.
Why does that dude think the Thunder are going to put the Rockets out in the first round? Does he really think the Thunder are going to slip to 8th or did I miss something? Edit: I think he's saying the Warriors are going to be put out by the Thunder. Still odd.
Brian Windbag seems especially unconcerned about the Warriors' injury woes. I'm not sure why he(and many others in the media) just assume Golden State will get an easy matchup in the first round and have all their players return in the postseason without missing a beat.
The media has been loving the Thunder for this entire season. No amount of inconsistency or mediocrity has been able to change that. Because- "they are built for the playoffs"
Yes, media people just assume the Warriors will get healthy and "flip the switch" in the playoffs, but when have they done this? The past three years they've finished first overall with 67+ wins and continued that excellence into the playoffs. The last time they didn't finish first they were bounced in the opening round by Chris Paul's Clippers.
They've also never had a serious challenge in the first round in the last 3 years. 2015, they faced a completely inexperienced and totally banged up Pelicans team. 2016, it was the dysfunctional 41-41 Rockets who looked like they didn't even wanna be there. Last season, it was a 41-41 Blazers team that was decent, but was missing Nurkic for the first two games.
Not sure how you saw that with quadruple chinned Brian windhorse taking up the whole screen @Snow Villiers
