nick right wants to work with the rockets or could be murray double agent. Hes hellbent on defending us
Fake video. I know because everyone was reasonably well informed and no one raised their voice or took a preposterous stance simply for the sake of playing Devil's advocate.
The funny part is that teams have already tried all of those trap and gimmicky defenses. The Rockets have been slow to react to them for a couple of possessions and then torched the hell out of them. The toughest defense I have seen is the Celtic and Raptor multiple foul defense where they foul the entire game multiple times on a possession to establish the fake "good defense" team. The Rockets just have to grind through those games and eventually things go their way. In those games they are just going to have to have a lot of energy and play tough D and even force the paint to get free throws and create foul trouble.
My favorite observation here is the one from Carter, about D'Antoni putting more versatile offensive lineups on the floor to deal with half-court traps of Harden. There's gonna be quite a chess game in the playoffs, managing that space between half court and the foul line. We've seen Capela and Tucker transition the ball through that space and find the next pass after Harden is trapped. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Rockets shuffle who's bringing the ball to half court and who's running the transition. The trap has to be refuted.
he was a great doubter of rockets until a month or so ago when he and cc watched rockets in brooklyn and then were rockets guests in houston right after that... from then on they fell in love with rockets
I wouldn’t say the Rockets struggle when teams trap Harden just past half court and Harden passes to Capela. It’s been happening during the regular season with Capela taking a dribble or two and then kicking out to a 3-point shooter. Sometimes he stops and take a little hook shot. But I get it, yes they end up with a turnover occasionally out of that situation. Roll Rockets
The Stephen Jackson "teams are sandbagging and not actually trying in the regular season against Houston" argument....that's some good stuff.
Watch Curry cupcake flop to mommy and daddy until the refs call offensive fouls during key momentum breaking moments. Kerr will get desperate and start accusing "some teams" of moving screens to reporters when they ask him why donkey is yelling at his teammates. The irony and favored status is real.
Kerr as a coach may be the most overrated nba professional of the century. I'd say he's on Westbrook's level.
Harden is "taken out of the game" to the tune of about 27/8/5 every year in the playoffs during his time as a Rocket
