I thought Foreman looked great at UT. But, when I look at the highlight videos it seems like Foreman had a lot of long runs where he slips through the line untouched and then runs 70 yards. The defense is so weak in the Big 12 I'm wondering how good Foreman really is at picking up the tough yards when he gets hit at the line.
No doubt the Big 12 defenses inflated his numbers but Foreman was also really good with YAC. Believe he had one of the highest, if not the highest YAC, in the draft.
I just want Foreman to be Earl II; is that too much to ask? Probably, but even he approached that level, I would be ecstatic.
Yeah, that's WAY too much to ask, but honestly I think the kid gives the Texans a legit power run option which should be amazing enough by itself.
O.K., I know, Way too optimistic. Earl was one of a kind. Well, that's something. Who was our last runner like him? I guess Foster, but I don't think he was as big.
so when can we cut tyler ervin? im still pissed off we let grimes go. would love a RB group of miller, foreman, hunt, and grimes.
Why? He's just a sophomore now and was a 3rd round pick last year. You're not saving money and he's not dead weight. Grimes was garbage, good pass protector on 3rd downs but a plodder in the mold of Blue, which we don't need two of. I'd take Miller, Hunt, and Foreman if we made this a three man backfield tbh. Ervin, if he ever learns how to catch with his hands rather than his facemask, can be relegated to punt and kickoff return duties. I feel like last season he was too young and raw to be thrown in during those high pressure situations. This year I have hope he'll improve in those aspects of his game (hands being the highest priority).
