Prosecutor Probes Trump Campaign CEO Stephen Bannon's Voter Record Florida prosecutors are investigating the voter registration of Donald Trump's campaign chief, NBC News has learned. Election officials in Miami-Dade County confirmed Tuesday that the local state attorney's office requested Stephen Bannon's voter records last week. "I know that there is an investigation but I know very little about it," said Rosy Pastrana, executive assistant to the county's election supervisor. "They requested voter records for him, which is why I know there is an investigation going on." Pastrana told NBC News there was nothing obvious in Bannon's voter record that suggested fraud to her, especially since he had not voted in Miami-Dade since registering there in April 2014. "There is nothing here that I see that he did wrong," she said. . . .
The media totally ignoring the fact that voter fraud did occur and it was in Detroit where Hillary won big.
Ah no, they aren't ignoring it - they just aren't making stuff up about it like your are RL. It's not considered voter fraud: http://www.freep.com/story/news/pol...ions-bureau-audit-detroit-precincts/95349562/ They are doing an audit now which will take 3 weeks. Only a-hole alt-right people who only read Russian propaganda call it voter fraud.
Once it's all said and done, once again: Voter fraud is basically non-existent in the United States. Fake news? Sure. Weird, one-sided info leaks? Going to become par for the course. But people in our country voting illegally or fraudulently? Doesn't happen in any significant way. So what we need is a bunch of right wing legislatures to institute new laws against voter fraud (sic) that will, in intentional effect, just reduce voter turnout. Good times.
We need a Constitutional Right to Vote so that voting is as easy as in other democracies.. Conservatives who just want to win elections by suppressing votes are despicable or just living in the fake new universe of Fox and friends.
They know voter fraud is non-existent, but it's necessary to claim that it is real so they can stop black people from voting and win more elections. They know that and that's ok because winning is more important. If blacks voted Republican you can bet your house these same guys would be saying anyone should be able to vote as it's a fundamental right and that anyone who opposes the right to vote should be shot.
The media is STILL ignoring it but not TRUMP! Trump claims people illegally vote multiple times by changing their clothes https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...guised-illegal-voters-for-gop-losses-in-tight President Trump on Wednesday claimed that Republican candidates lost key races in last week's midterm elections due to voters casting multiple illegal ballots while wearing disguises. In an interview with conservative outlet The Daily Caller, the president claimed that "potentially illegal votes" were responsible for Republicans candidates' losses, which he claimed resulted from voters returning to their homes or vehicles, exchanging clothes and returning to voting places. “The Republicans don’t win and that’s because of potentially illegal votes,” Trump told the Caller. “When people get in line that have absolutely no right to vote and they go around in circles. Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again. Nobody takes anything. It’s really a disgrace what’s going on," he added. The president also renewed his support for GOP-led voter ID efforts, while claiming again that Americans require IDs to purchase groceries. “If you buy a box of cereal — you have a voter ID,” Trump said. “They try to shame everybody by calling them racist, or calling them something, anything they can think of, when you say you want voter ID. But voter ID is a very important thing.” The president, in recent days, has slammed Florida elections officials over the vote recount efforts in the state's elections for governor and U.S. Senate, which remain undecided as officials in two counties work to recount votes by hand. Trump and Florida Republicans including Senate nominee Gov. Rick Scott have claimed that fraud is being committed by election officials in the state, arguing that the races should be called for Republicans.
Sure when it actually happens I'll condemn it. So far it hasn't really happened in any significant number at all.
trump lies numerous times in this response to a legitimate question about the North Carolina election where the republican candidate was found guilty of voter trump not only lies about a "million fraudulent votes" in California, but he also references Texas, where the Texas Secretary of State just admitted the original claims about potential non-citizen voters was in error (and now his confirmation is in doubt). trump's constant lying about voting fraud is an attack on America's democratic processes. Texas: David Whitley’s Secretary of State Confirmation May Now Be Doomed https://www.texasmonthly.com/politics/david-whitley-secretary-of-state-nomination-doomed/ California: FACT CHECK: Trump Repeats Voter Fraud Claim About California https://www.npr.org/2018/04/05/599868312/fact-check-trump-repeats-voter-fraud-claim-about-california AP FACT CHECK: Trump’s repeated fabrications on voting fraud http://www.therepublic.com/2019/02/25/us-fact-check-week-2/
Instead of just saying Trump is making up random stuff about California, I wish journalists would talk a little bit about where this stuff comes from. For California, Trump is probably referencing a settlement recently won by Judicial Watch forcing California to clean their voter rolls of people who are dead or moved away. They estimate 1.5 million ineligible voters in LA County would be taken off the rolls. https://www.judicialwatch.org/press...-rolls-settle-judicial-watch-federal-lawsuit/ Now Trump's claim is still BS, because these are just voter registrations and not votes. The voter fraud concern is that the ineligible pool represents a lot of potential votes that could be targeted by fraudsters -- though apparently enough other safeguards must be in place since no actual fraud is being found. But still, NPR and The Republic shouldn't pretend like Trump is just making it up out of whole cloth. They hurt their own credibility.
