Interesting move with now only 1 PG on the roster and one undrafted rookie PG. Not that Goudelock was a sure fire backup or anything but still. If the Rockets aren't waiting until Aug 1st to pick him up and there really is no harm in bringing him into training camp to push for a roster spot, they must be thinking they need the cap space now for some reason.... which is interesting in of itself. I guess the Rockets aren't done yet in doing whatever they are still trying to do.
Greivis Vasquez maybe? Do they really even need cap space to sign him after a down year last year? As far PG's go, that's about the best I see out there available. Unless they are trying to stack the deck with another big or 3. The 3 best free agents left are probably Crabbe, Ezeli, or D-Mo himself. With the 10 mil or so cap space they have left, not sure why they couldn't get a serious offer with Crabbe or Ezeli if they even want them. I'd be interested in trying to steal away Crabbe and then trading Ariza for more guard depth later on.
Wouldn't surprise me if the Rockets used his contract along with some wing players in a trade for some help/depth at the guard position. Bring over gentile afterward to replace the wing depth you traded away and the roster is close to set for camp.
Bev Harden, Gordon, KJ Ariza, Brewer, Dekker Anderson, Beas, Harrell, (Onuaku-unsigned/dleague) Capela, Nene, (DMo-unsigned) Incoming vet PG?
Bev can actually hit the 3 and can come in as a backup to slow the opponents pg down. A lot of people don't value his heart either, you need that player on your team. He can be what Deli was for the cavs
I wonder if Morey takes a chance on Chalmers. Could prob get him for cheap and see how he recovers. He sure played well in Memphis before his injury. It's not like he is a guy that relied on athleticism so he should recover well.
