As bad as Terry and Brewer have been, and believe me I think Brewer has been really bad more often than not, Josh Smith has been much worse.
I seriously doubt that...looks like either hes injured or packed a few pounds during the offseason. His feet some stuck to the ground, i dont think he can move laterally anymore, he looked really bad. And if Josh smith is not giving you defense then no way you keep on the court with his chucking tendencies and bad ft shooting
Still a better rebounder than anyone not named Dwight Howard and second best distributor after James Harden.
I liked what I saw from Beasley last night against the Grizz in terms of being a "team" guy. He got his shots for course, but saw a lot of passing and deferring at times. If he can mesh this with his scoring, I may have to reconsider him being able to be in the "closing lineup." Beasley's defense has been better than I expected. He is banging for rebounds and has good lateral quickness against faster PFs which is important.
Michael Beasley. He takes a Lickin' and Keeps on Tickin' ! Baller. Just what this worn out team needs. It's a new day ! DMO for MO MO !
This IS what I meant to convey actually . . . Its admittedly entertaining AND actually effective Enjoy this Shameless Shooting Show, KEEP LAUNCHING 'EM
I don't think Josh Smith's defense is the problem. His defensive stats (ESPN DRPM and that NBA.com Opp. FG%) look real good actually. The problem is that he can't hit a shot at all.

Beasley was probably the best Rockets player in the last 3 or so games. The moment he signed I labeled him as idiot he always was. But he does look very calm and focused on the floor. Man on a mission. What kind of contract he signed? next year team option? Would be shame if walked this summer.
Beasley has been a nice addition so far, but nothing is going to change the course of this team if the team defensive strategy and effort don't improve.
He's turning out to be a steal. The best PF we have. Honestly, he could be a game changer for this teams future. If we can get another scoring option that can integrate with Harden - a Durant, a Parsons - and a guy like a Millsap that could be huge.
