If Hoyer can protect the football I think he's clearly better. Less than 3 yards per attempt here for Mallet. Either way, both suck
Because Mallett's play has been justifiable given the O line play, the lack of running game, and the ridiculous number of flat out drops by his receivers. There was nothing justifiable about Hoyer's play.
On this we are in agreement. Mallet looks exactly how I expected him to look. This game is virtually unwatchable. The only saving grace is that the Panthers don't have a good receiving corps else this game would already be over.
It's not his fault entirely, but his inaccuracy is really showing up. They have been like 5 passes where he threw it behind or high and the receiver didn't have a chance to catch it, but if he threw it in front of the receiver and led them, it would have been a lot of yards or a touchdown.
da homie was jus trying to tell me Mallett hasn't been inaccurate today & it's the receivers fault LOL
on sundays, there's only one night game for baseball. afternoon games are for teams on the west coast
That's true, and Mallett has never been a highly accurate QB as I pointed out last year, but receivers simply can not drop that many passes that hit them in the hands, that's 100% on them.
Sadly I thought the offense would be at least as good as fitsy last year. Mallet is completely lost with no protection at all. The o line is worst it's been in many years. Playing up to oilers expectations, sans watt.
