The justification for Brooks starting over Lowry has always been lack of offensive weapons, but with Martin taking Brooks shoot first run plays later role is it time we bring in the playmaker Lowry?

I think yes. If yao ever returns we can consider brook again because yao will be the primary offensive distributor. until then we need lowry because the ball would never make it inside the arc with brooks/martin/ariza taking quick shots

    Nah.

Brooks is a future star, Lowry will still be the spark/hustle off the bench.

the standard spark off the bench is a shooter out of postion ala jackson/gordon/nate

not a defensive play maker like lowry/rondo

DO you really want a starting lineup where there is only a single guy that can hit an open shot (Martin)? That would make no sense.

Lowry is a nice sub off the bench, he will NEVER be the starter here as logn as we got AB

I wasn't trying to flame you. I was just pointing out the existing discussion.

I actually agree with your take despite my moniker that would suggest otherwise.

I don't think a PG change will be made, at least this year. But it will be interesting to see how Brooks does now that he is no longer the first option on offense. Especially next year when he presumably will be the 3rd option behind Yao and Martin.

I'm not sure he will be the #2 option, I think if anything, he will split it with Martin. Martin is shooting nearly as bad as Ariza this season and has only proven to be a capable scorer on terrible teams.
