Quick google search yielded 3 apology threads other than this one. Weirdly 2 of them for Jalen Green. https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/jalen-green-apology-form.318470/ https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/who-owes-jalen-an-apology-from-last-year.324457/ https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/the-jabari-smith-jr-apology-form.319049/
He has few to no redeeming qualities as a human being (to be fair, that's also the case for most other billionaire a-hole NBA owners), but I'll begrudgingly admit that at least he's willing to spend money to win, so at least he's got that going for him.
Credit where credit is due. Tilman got out of the way, trusted the front office and his son Patrick and signed checks. That's a good owner.
Harden isn't ever going to win a championship. Surely you've seen him lay down like a dog in the playoffs?
Dude, he's in the gambling industry. There isn't a person that runs a casino that doesn't have the morals of a pimp.
Apologies for the nerdy details and beating a dead horse, but it wasn't about Ariza specifically, but his salary slot and value being dumped simply due to money. Ariza was later traded for Kelly Oubre and Austin Rivers and then CP3 again, lol. I'm not going to die on the hill of "we would have won the chip if Tilman were different." And it's possible to win the chip by always being cheap when things fall into place (see Denver). But turning assets over into more assets with financial penalties is something that contending teams should do. Boston did it on their path. Rockets didn't do it when Tilman took over, not because he didn't believe in the assets, but because he was being cheap. He admitted it, then later lied. He's much richer now, so hopefully things will be different now that they can contend again.
I'll only think about apologizing when he brings back our championship uniforms. It's obvious we've been a cursed franchise since we went away from them. That red just pops under the playoff lights.
