I'm sick of the roster we have and basically we need to decide who to go to war with, and then focus on them, not have multiple flawed players all fighting it out for minutes at each position. I'd be all for getting rid of one of either Lowry or Brooks and installing Ish as the clear backup. I'd be up for clearing similar log jams at other positions like PF and SF. Its time to stop having fringe starters in backup roles (e.g., Brooks, Lee, Brad, etc) that they are not happy with and its time to stop stifling amazing future talent (e.g., Hill, T-Will and P-Pat) in scrub/benchwarming roles.
Everyone is expendable. None of our players have star potential and our "moneyball" players will be on expensive market rate contracts by the time we have anyone worth building around. Terrence Williams is definitely the most intriguing though, and I wouldn't mind developing him to see if he could be peaking as a second or third option around the time we're ready to contend again.
Who wouldn't you trade on current Rox team? -Don't know if this thread is up or something similar to it- Last night as I was watching the game against the Clippers I pondered to myself and asked, who would I keep and who I would trade on the current Rockets roster. As for me I find it hard to let go of these two players first, Luis Scola to me he is just a player that you can count on every game. Kyle Lowry will be my second choice for his solid play at the point. Rox Nation who would ya'll keep????
Terrence Williams, Patrick Patterson, Ish Smith, and I guess Lowry. Couldnt care less about the rest. Blow it up and start over
Similar thread: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=199615 Anyway, I don't think I'd trade Patterson and Lowry. Everyone else can be had at the right price.
Yao- would trade him knowing he will sign with us next year if health Martin-would trade if we get a superstar in return AB- would trade in a multi player deal Miller-would trade him for an empty bag of dorritos Hill-see miller Everyone else I like...defence is all I care about...
unless you have a player like chris paul or dwight howard, i think you have to be willing to trade anyone if it will ultimately help your team. Players i'd rather build with rather than trade: chuck wagon scola Kmart Lowry Patterson we need a center and small forward.
I wouldnt trade none of em...You trade garbage, you get less than equal garbage in return...Okay P-Pat aint garbage but the rest is utter trash!!!!
Is friendship enough to get another player to your team? In this example, Courtney Lee. Good friends with Dwight Howard. to the point it was rumored DH was pissed at the trade. Point is if DH'd team doesnt improve, he already said he would be looking to move. Can friendship help?
I like this idea! Either keep it as it is, repeat last year or Just trade everyone since we dont have that anyone to build around!
If we were to rebuild which I think we should I don't think I'd trade T-Will, Patterson, Lowry, or Ish. I believe that everyone else can be had at the right price. Also wouldn't mind bringing back Hayes and Battier for the right price to help out on defense but definitly not as starters. Don't think I can bare to see that for another year.
It can help, but he'd need to feel that we'd have as good a shot as X at winning a title, heck look at the guy's twitter location, lol.
With all these trades in mind, can someone tell us when we can sniff the air of a championship? Rebuilding is a dream for video gamers and those who are obsessed with trading games, but for those who long for the out of this world excitement of watching our team playing in deep playoff runs and championship games, how long do we have to wait?
ManLove for Scola, Hayes & Lowry - they can go only if its a 7' Defensive "5" in return... Patterson, Lee & Williams are all keepers IMO... BUT if the "right trade" came along they can go too... THE REST CAN / SHOULD GO for what we can get... ( an asset is only as good as what one can get for it ) Give time time - fan for life
