I'm not doing this anymore. It's getting annoying...

"A friend of a friend of a friend has herpes."

Leave this for people you know on a real level or don't do it.

What's the point of this? He obviously knows her on a real level since he talked to her very recently on the phone.

Take your negativity elsewhere.

What are you trying to say? Too bad the edit function is down. Go away, please. If you can't offer words of encouragement what that is all that is appropriate, you don't need to be posting anything at all.

She is the wife of my best friend from college. We've spent the night many times in each other's homes. They were here for dinner only a few months ago. I've met her parents; her dad is now deceased. Proof enough?!

I suppose I'm negative for two reasons.

1. It's not family
2. It's breast cancer: not to be rude, but I've known soooo many people who have been diagnosed with this, and have yet to see one die. Worst case is having her breasts removed.

I do apologize, and will shut up now. I am sorry about what I said.

Tell that to the 51,184 people who died from breast cancer in North America alone in 2000.

Get a clue.

Thanks and you don't need to shut up... just be a little more sensitive.

The tumor is (as I said) large and agressive. They didn't even get it all in the surgery. It has already spread to her lymph system. She has spent a decade or more trying to identify the gene/s which predict breast cancer. She is scared. That's enough for me.
