    Are you Asian? I don't think any Asian person would consider a Middle Eastern person an Asian, and visa-versa. They'd just laugh at you. As someone pointed out, technically Jesus was Asian, but...that's a goofy thing to say in a conventional sense.

    Technically, we're all Africans.

    Wow, that must be one of the most stupid comments I've ever read. What happened to geography in school? Either you're ignorant or r****ded, your choice.

    No, fool. If you could stick your head out of your ass for a second and stop beign so politcally correct, clearly I'm not speaking on geographical terms. I'm speaking on cultural terms. That should be obvious.

    Don't believe me? Go to Chinatown sometime and ask people if Iranians are Asian. They'll laugh at you.

    Never think of things in geographical terms. Iranians are Middle-Eastern. Most of them of Arabic and live in a mediterranean culture. Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Koreans, etc. do not resemble anything of that culture.

    Ignorant? Brother, I'm Chinese. I know for a fact no one Chinese would consider Iranians Asian ( even if it's geographically true ). So if you're going to call me ignorant, you'll be calling millions of other people ignorant, because they'd agree with me.

    So there's your cultural lesson for the day.

    Anyway, that'll be last response about that. This thread should be about Hadadi. I apologize and I'll stop.

    Allright who cares what others "Asians" think about others, it doesnt matter what they Think.

    Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis makeup almost half of Asia's population, and many "asian groups" might not accept them as being asian because they're ignorant. If your country is in the continent of Asia you're Asian, but the term "Asian" doesn't "unite" anyone because there are diverse cultures within each Asian country.

    Bottom line is countries that are in Asia, those people are considered Asian. Similarly if one is from Egypt or Bostwana, they're African. To say otherwise is ignorant.

    India = Asia

    Asian doesn't mean if you have an epicanthic fold or not.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epicanthic_fold

    it really doesn't matter what east Asians think about who is Asian or not, they're not the governing body who decides that ;).

    Hadadi is from Iran, 70 million people in Iran are all considered Asian as that is the continent its in. Unfortunately in America, Asian means a person who has the "asian eyes" aka Epicanthic fold.

    this thread, should be moved to the non-basketball forum.

    Either way he will be coming off the bench. Marc Gasol will start in front of him. He had a better chance to get more minutes behind Yao because we want to limit Yao's minutes to reduce injury and strain on his body. Also, it would be better to learn from the best Center in the game right now if you are going to be a backup anyway. He would be playing on a championship contender instead of scrubs, although Memphis should be considerably better this year. He would have the option to change teams after a few short years if he felt that he was ready to start then. Do you think he will beat out Marc Gasol to start immediately or down the road? I don't.
