This is what I see as well. Either we trade one or two of those picks away for a later-year pick or we package 2 and maybe a player to get a higher pick.

Hot damn, things just got interesting!

there is no way the rockets keep all 3 picks. Cap room and roster space make that a problem.

But we can start looking at teams that are really short on talent, say Golden State.

Trades like Cato, Kenny and all three picks
for Jamison and their #1 become fun to think about

    This is really good news.

I knew the Rockets might have 3 draft picks, but I always thought they'd end up with 2.

    Really good news.

Does this mean that there is an outside chance at a 4th pick or was there a dealine to declare that sort of thing?

Hope everything came out OK, Achebe.

    #13, #18, #22. Wow.

Looking good. As someone said, keep an eye on Vancouver. And other lotto teams: Chicago; Detroit; Atlanta; Washington; New Jersey.

If we draft, we do well. If we trade up, we do well. If we trade for a major-ass rebounder/shot blocker, we do well. Let's see, that's a...win, win, win situation.

But we won't add three rooks to the team.

Do yall remember the last time we had several first round draft picks right around each other? We used the players we drafted to bring a certain point guard over who is quickly becoming the best point guard in the league...

I predict big things for those draft picks.

Yup! I remember. Hopefully we won't miss out on a Rashard this year. [IMG]

...yeah, yeah, we got Francis, but as we all foresaw that happening

So this year we have to deal w/ a Michael Dickerson, a Bryce Drew and a Mirsad Turkcan?

I was hoping for a stronger move.

Thanks Roxtxia, it all worked out in the end. (get it the end, hardee har har)

What picks did we have back when we drafted Drew, Dickerson, and Turk?

Perhaps the scatological subtlety escapes me, but could you clear up the following :

    (1) what kind of god awful, loaf-pinching noise is 'atgghghghg' ?!
    (2) is it the records or your excitement level that causes you to poo in record stores ?

    Thanks for the clarification [IMG]

    I can't believe I missed this ...

Don't be so hard on yourself ... some moves are looser than others.

    1) it's the anxious sound.
    2) one in the same.

If the Bucks go to the championship doesn't their pick climb to the 29th pick?

I'm a Bucks fan but if thats the case not this year.

Fortunately no -- it's based on NBA regular season record only.

What do you think about this trade:

Chicago, we'll give you our 18th and 22nd pick in the draft if you'll let us give you Cato ;-)

Not sure about that one, but I hope we can somehow package our last two picks for a top 5 - 10 pick and we still have #13. To me, that would be the best way to go. SF, then C or best PF available.
