  No worries. I was going nuts looking for an answer when the initial summary of new CBA terms came out in late November. Larry Coon finally got to the bottom of it. Sucks for prudent GMs like Morey, Bird and Presti.

  emjohn, just to clarify the amnesty issue for you: It CANNOT be used on a player acquired in trade after July 1, 2011. The amnesty is only allowed for players under contract and on THAT team's roster as of June 30, 2011. Hope this helps.
