About
I am a native Houstonian and a fan of all our local sports teams. I went to HBU in the 70's and watched many Rockets practices in Sharp Gym. I remember seeing Cliff Meeley (RIP) and Jack Marin throwing down punches during one heated practice, which was ironic happening in a Baptist school.
I attended game 7 of the Knicks championship game in 1994 and cried when Max hit the 3 to ice the game. They were tears of joy and felt such a burden being lifted in finally about to win a major championship for Htown. I sat across the aisle from the NBC studio crew, who had a platform set up in the stands, and watched Peter Vecsey almost crying too (tears of frustration). It was classic.
I'm a season ticket holder for Cougar basketball and love how they play with such grit.
I attended game 6 of WS against the Phillies and saw Yordan's moon shot to centerfield.
I hope you will allow me to be a Contributing member once again.Interact
