Disagree. If Utah put up a statue for these 2, why should Yao be denied one

EDIT - Deleted pictures of the most atrocious statues known to mankind

What were you thinking posting pictures of Jazz statues in this thread. Sigh

Don't care what Utah did. I'm not making a rule. I'm stating a fan preference for the Houston Rockets

I don't know. Maybe you can talk me into it. I certainly wouldn't fight it. For sure inside the arena

Anyone else think since Hakeem being a jersey, a larger than life Yao might not balance well. My opinion about this also stems from the fact TC is not well designed to position statues around the stadium. Really just has one main entrance

Just noticed you are a Contibuting Member, thus have Editing ability. Can you delete those pictures before ppl start replying with them and littering this thread more? And I'll forgive your enthusiasm for making a point that led to your profane transgression. :)

Just because the Jazz don't have championship expectations, doesn't mean we have to do the same

You lead us to a ring, u get a statue. We don't have a Rudy or a Moses, or a Calvin statue

It was Les that decided not to pay him and trade him. Shame on Les.

Hate to be the one to break it to you, but some Harvard compsci LOF created a webbot to Vote 1 on any thread you make, and keep voting whenever you get close to a 5.

Be honest, to what other ends did you program your bots do on this site?

I remember how exciting it was when Yao was drafted. Now he's in the hall of fame. Time goes by too quickly. I wish we lived longer and aged more slowly.

A beautiful and heart-felt speech. All the fond memories and heart-break misfortunes just flashed by vividly. It was indeed too short of a career with all the what-ifs, but the big fella really cared and gave everything.

    We do miss that team.

Whats horrible, and its what you want, for you,

Is that 5 years down the line we'll look back on this, and instead of having a clean, "timeless" classic event for a classy person all for ITSELF,

Itll be stained with obvious splatters of antagonistic, agenda-at-THAT-time-only, bratty backhanded swipes about UNRELATED UNINVOLVED things, totally detracting away from the appreciation from where it belongs. (Yao - NOT YOU and your "Fan Fix-its"). No one wants to look back on Hakeem's MVPS and HOF, but theyre only seeing people preaching against "where you stand" on Buck Johnson's value. Especially with PLENTY OTHER board space for that kinda thing.

The counter-measures are working. Yao's quotes are up to a five star thread where they belong
