We need him here. The Rockets need a culture change and Doc is perfect for the job

I have to say, this is probably going to happen.

Fertitta grabbing a big name coach? Highly likely. Name alone.

I am not a fan but let's be real, this is happening. Doc is going to want to go to a contender, Austin is already here. It makes too much sense and I hate it.

You're a good coach, you lost the locker room when it mattered.

Now the Clippers are farther away from a championship.

Austin employed longer than Doc. Didn't see that coming.

I would have done this a long time ago. It still surprises me though. I thought Doc still had most fooled.

Come to think of it, he would fit perfectly in Houston. Choker coach for a choker superstar.

I am not sure I can get used to this new NBA.

Shooting 3s and firing coaches after Playoff exits.

    Didn't talent make coaches?

Spoelstra was just a kid when he coached Lebron the first time.

Kawhi and PG are playing a similar way, the swingman's game with Kawhi operating inside and shooting midrange shots.

Sometimes, yes. But Spolestra is a hell of a coach. Did you have Miami in the finals this year?

Not surprised it happened. There was clearly something Doc didn't have at coach for his teams to consistently blow 3-1 leads.

Then again, when you have the players he had, the onus should've been on them not to choke.

I like the guy. Good luck to him wherever he lands. ("Yes, sir? What can I do for you, Mister Fertitta?" "Three million a year. Half a million per each playoffs round you win. Coupons to Salt Grass..........hello? Hello?"

Yeah, he matured. That's 6 or 7 years removed from the last one.

I also think this Miami team was a darkhorse and wouldn't have necessarily made that far when things were normal with a home and road concept.

Not to take anything away from this experience .

Heck, I had Toronto in the Finals. I guess they needed the North.

I'll tell you what's gonna happen. 76ers are going to pick up Doc, D'Antoni is going to be looking and looking for another job and Rockets are gonna swoop in with a dozen roses, a bottle of wine with a string quartet behind them and a copy of The Notebook tucked up under their arm and on bended knee ask him to forgive them for being cold and distant after the whole playoff debacle. They'll take the blame for all the wrong doings and why the team didn't work and it will melt his hardened heart and he'll resign. The End.

I hope you are wrong, I don't want to see MDA coaching the rockets anymore. I can't take his lack of ability to ever throw in a wrinkle to throw off the opponent.
