This is the best solution. The team handled it well. And keeping him on the roster, but making clear he is gone is also the best way to handle it, both for him and for us - can use him in trades still after Dec. 15.
I don't think so, his trade value decreases. If Melo plays, he has more trade value. Now he has negative trade value.
