I do see that Harden and Davis seem friendly. I can see him wanting to play here with Harden and CP3 more than just playing with Lebron at the end of his career. Looking at it also, hard to see how a Boston deal works...I mean, to make money match they would have to deal Smart on a 4 year contract or Hayward on his 3 year contract unless they get a third team to send an expiring contract in their place. Don't see them sending Horford but even if they were, he's also on a 2 year contract paying more per year than Davis currently is. I guess a deal sending one of the firsts to Atlanta so they absorb Smart while sending Lin to New Orleans works but I'm not so sure...
One things certain... whether traded now/this deadline or in the summer ... Pelicans should sit him going forward.
The more you wait, the worse deal you usually get, especially once his agent releases the short list of teams Davis would be willing to resign with. I wish the Rockets had enough assets to make a deal for Davis, but I don't think Capela + fillers + 4 FRPs are enough.
Yeah we’re not even in the hunt. As a rocket fan I’ve gotten to where I will just appreciate the greatness of harden and hope for a lucky stroke that leads to a title, but I recognize that we’ve most likely missed our extremely narrow opportunity. If you are a championship or bust fan you should bail now lol.

Honestly i think after adding rivers and faried we would have improved as much as gs if we just trade for a starting 3/4 But yea this year is probably our last chance
i think this is good for the rockets either way. Since we're most likely not going to be able to get him, i think it means that we may be able to get someone else(gasol?) for a cheaper price? also, there are usually buyouts after these major trades, and perhaps we can scoop another one up at the minimum after all the dust has settled.....
I don't think the Rockets will get him for multiple reasons but that's why you don't trade 1st rounders for scrubs like some people suggested in the past weeks. With that said yeah, i guess he's going to the Lakers, pretty sure they'll trade anyone aside for Lebron to get him.
