No cake-walk against the Yankees, but I thought the Indians were the best team in baseball. Plus, we now have home field. What's not to like?
I've seen some ambivalence about home field advantage........ there are no sure things - but, man...... you'd be foolish to not want game 7 at home.
I agree with you 100%, but I'm guessing an Indians fan would want to fight you right now. They've lost 2 win-or-go-home games on their home field in 2 seasons now.
Thought this was interesting, only focuses on the WS but the game 1-2 results were something I hadn't really looked into. Home team records since 1925 (when the 2-3-2 format was made permanent): • Game 1: 57-34 • Game 2: 55-36 • Game 3: 50-41 • Game 4: 44-47 • Game 5: 37-36 • Game 6: 35-19 • Game 7: 17-18 http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...eries-having-home-field-advantage-does-matter
One could argue the Astros were the better team this season. The Indians won 20 plus games in a row and still only finished one game ahead. Stros also got ravaged by the injury bug this year.
This is our year. If the hitting stops our pitching will step up, if the pitching hiccups then our hittas will carry the load
I'll be in St Louis for game 5. That's incredibly lame, so let's just sweep it. I love to brag, especially to cheating mofo's.
