Paul Pierce is not a PG. Just want to get that out of the way before people respond telling me we need a PG. So, assuming we get a PG and have cash left over, what are your thoughts on adding Paul Pierce to the roster as the backup 3 and sometimes 4. Ariza could shift to the 2 when Harden sits with Pierce taking the SF on defense. He is still highly efficient on offense, including from the 3. I don't know what salary he will command, but he seems like a great fit as the backup wing and smallball 4 for this team.
He is not a pg. He will command a vet minimum and everything that comes out of his camp says that he wants to finish his carreer in his home town.
I hope not. He would really make me mad playing for a California team! I didn't like him as an add last year because he'd be the starter at the 3, but as your guy off the bench I think he would be an outstanding fit.
I thought it was all but guaranteed that he's returning to Washington? I thought I heard that on a broadcast. Spoiler Also he's not a PG, more like a SF or stretch PF for short stints.
Clippers of course. I think he would die before wearing the purple. His dream Im sure wouod be to retire i green but Ainge is not a sentimental person and they have tooooo many pfs.
He isn't a PG. DO NOT WANT. WE NEED A PG AND NOT SOME OLD ASS MAN. I feel like he should retire a Celtic, though. Unless he goes to an established and good team, I can't see him as the piece that pushes a particular team over the top. Washington is still a ways away from contending.
He'd be a fine Ariza replacement, should they trade him. (Not necessarily advocating they do so). He'll have other suitors(LAC / WAS) if he decides to continue playing.
With his age, he wouldn't be able to endure a full season as the starter. During the regular season, his minutes can't go above 25 per game. For the playoffs, though, he'd elevate it and can play the whole game. I think Pierce would command too much money, though. But, if he'd want to come here for cheap and be a backup 3, sure.
I would welcome him with open arns. Someone to hold harden accountable every game and the guy can make big shots. He is a guy who could improve team chemistry
I would love him on this team for the vet minimum. Him and Terry as our veterans would be amazing. However we have to get that play making guard first.
