Any chance he comes back in place of Dorsey? I don't think he would be better than our 3 PF's we have today... I bet he would play motivated ball vs. Portland in the playoffs.
Don't see it. What does he give us that we don't already have? I'm not even sure if he's a better fit for us than Dorsey.
enough with small PFs with short arms...we need a legit Center with legit height that would relieve Dwight
Jones got 30 and 24 minutes his last 2 games, how's that barely getting minutes? Dorsey's getting 15 minutes, when he shouldn't really be playing at all.
sure, lets get another too-small-for-center backup center. its traditional rockets basketball! dont forget to rot your papanickalou's and canaan's on the bench
chuck hayes starting center in 10-11 finish the lockout year with 2pat at center despite the 2 defensive/rebounding 7 footers dalembert and camby signing asik w/o having a true backup center getting dwight only to have asik moan and injure himself through the season now dorsey is reserve to backup to starter! just like that! with no rumors of rockets looking at another center to sing fo r2-3 months. there's something about undersized centers someone in the rockets management loves
If he was 2 inches taller he'd be a fantastic pickup. I thought his skill could improve enough to help him take that leap forward, but he never got his skill to the point to match his balls-to-the-wall aggressiveness to rebound, and defend. I still like him as a poor mans Faried, but on this team I'd rather give those minutes to Jones, Smith, and D-Mo. The Rockets need a reincarnation of Mutombo who can protect the rim better than Dorsey for 10 to 15 minutes only if needed. Those guys are hard to find, and their rim protection isn't replaced just simply by a PF who crashes the glass. The size matters.
We don't have the minutes for him...He's a PF that position is locked, Jones, Dmo, and Smoove are doing just as much if not more of what T-Rob would bring at the the C and PF spots...So in short nah we don't need him
