Gonzaga is in Washington, so he wont be too far away from where he went to school! Looks like he might be a fan favorite over there.
I think the fans in Portland had a "Draft the stache" campaign when he came out of college. Nice to see the franchise finally make their fanbase happy.
He revived his career in Serbia with Red Star Belgrade: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Q8df-O_UHxk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Have they actually signed him to a deal, or is this just a training camp invite? I know he'll get the one-year deal if he makes the team, but I haven't seen anything saying that's the case.
Inefficient volume shooter when he was first in the league, hopefully he's developed more to his game since then. Glad he's still going after his dream, it's a huge inspiration to people who were born with diabetes. Didn't see a confirmed report saying he's actually been signed, rather just a camp invite but best wishes to him!
We will continue to see the legend for another year. Reminds me of when Jordan played for the Wizards.
Da fuq is this? It's like some weird hybird of Kurt Cobain, Edge from WWE, and an NBA player. Add on the music, I wasn't sure if I was watching the next Twilight or Borat trailer.
Honestly as full of young players as we are I wanted the Rox to give him a shot. Morrison improved a lot of his game on his Lakers stint and now overseas. He's actually trying to defend and understands high level bball now, and is like Steve Novak clone, except instead of being a sniper he's the kind of guy that can become unstoppable when he gets hot. He'd be nice as a little curve Mchale can throw out there when Mad Chicken isn't clicking.
If the team was a bit different, I'd agree. As in, if this was a team of grizzled veterans trying to desperately make the playoffs- I'd want in, but it appears that the organization is taking a different route- in which case Morrison makes no sense.
We've already finished rebuilding. If we were really tanking then there was no way DM would sign a dynamic pg like Lin and a shotblocking presence like Asik, those two are young who are ready to win now. If you want a comparison, we're like the current OKC. Obviously our big 3 isn't as good as theirs (LOL), but if you're talking about player ages that's where these guys are now. Lin, Parsons and Asik, these three are ready for the bright lights of the playoffs. Hopefully PP or our rooks blow up and help them out, cuz they're gonna need it.
