A left field name as a potential assistant coach (3rd guy down the bench)
    Will Weaver
Young up and coming coach who (at 36) has served as assistant under both Kenny Atkinson and Brett Brown. A sharp rise for the former Sam Houston assistant

His last 2 years have involved title shots as head coach with the Long Island Nets (GLeague) and Sydney Kings (Australia). Both teams overachieved significantly to reach the championship games (both lost).

Seems to be someone who does his video work and has a bright future down the track. Did I mention 3s and layups is his offensive system?
Worth a conversation about an assistant role

Many of the MDA haters either gloss over this or mitigate it by saying Elston Turner is more deserving of this recognition.

    Exhibit A, SAS.

Not to piss on your chips but Kris Dunn's qualifying offer this off-season is $7.1m, that's likely already more than what we can offer. Im sure we've already talked about this and I cant remember what you said, but Horford's salary is 27.5m next season, Gordon's is 16.8m. We would have to include Tucker and House just to match salaries.

You aren't pissing on my chips, if I make a mistake it needs to be pointed out.

I just used Dunn as an example, as I thought he was unrestricted and the Bulls did not want to bring him back (at least that was what was being pushed a few months ago).

As for Gordon and Horford, it is again just an example; but they could do a 3 way deal if they really wanted to complete the deal.

This makes too much sense, and yet I still don’t want Sampson.

I think Dunn either gets a better offer in FA or takes the QO and sees if he can get more money in 2021. If he has a season shooting close to league average from 3 and defends this well he will get good money

Any thoughts on Winslow from MEM or Turner from IND?

There should be an unofficial rule among NBA fans where if Kyrie tells you something, believe that the complete opposite is true.

    I agree...I don't want Sampson...because I'd rather keep him at UH.

I have a feeling that’s where TF wants him too. Not so sure he’s ready for anyone else to step in there yet.

Assuming they go for Horford, wouldn’t they be trading Tucker or Rob?

In regards to Sydney they I would say they underachieved even though it was a weird final series with the COVID crisis being in full effect at that time. I'm still amazed Perth were able to get past them again, that title was all Sydneys to win,

In saying that, I didn't mind him as a coach throughout the year.

It could be a three team deal.

    Horford is just an example.

I do think Horford will be moved. But not sure where. And it probably takes a 3 team deal. I have opined before I think Philly will go after CP3 using Horford.

Would JVG with an elite offensive assistant coach (Gentry, Silas, etc) be possible?
