A lot of these lists are ****ty, have to basically look at all of them and assemble your own (or not). I mean unless a sports writer can be truly unbiased (not a real thing) they're going to do stupid votes/lists. I think in the future MVP/all team and even all-star games should be done by a computer with some crazy advanced metrics (lists included). Human element is failing (because they're probably getting opinions from tmz that don't matter on the court), and all-star games should count for homecourt since year after year one conference is a joke and fans can't vote for ****, remember the year yao/kobe etc etc got voted in and couldn't participate because they were broken?? Much like the lists by these writers, casual fans aren't paying attention either when they vote.
Chris Paul is way too high. Westbrook, Leonard, Harden, and Davis are all better. I don't understand why Griffin is ahead of Aldridge either.
Outside of LeBron, these top 10 player lists get very subjective. I mean, nobody in their right mind would choose CP3 over Harden in just about anything, but track records and NBA prevailing wisdom seem to indicate otherwise. Whatever works, I'll let people have their fun with that. That said, it's nice to see Eric Gordon get a default mention. At least he's properly being recognized as a top 100 talent (with injuries being the obvious holdup). Hopefully, by the end of the year (and possible sixth man of the year consideration) we'll see something more concrete.
Put Harden on the Clippers and Paul on the Rockets Are the win totals form last year the same? Rocket River
lol if this was espn harden would be 14th or some crazy **** like that, also if you listen to the commentary, you will notice the woman has an issue with harden's ranking at 7 because of defense, but not curry's. I like how the dude checked her on that SI> ESPN
Rockets would be better, simply because of better chemistry. Clippers would be worse. same reason. Howard was the best player in this team when he was here. It was him, not Harden who lead this team to WCF two seasons ago. That was why I said Howard was the anchor of this team on both ends of the court even he was not used properly on offense. People gave Harden too much credit here.
If only chemistry counted for something on the scoreboard. It's silly to talk this way, but swapping CP3 and Harden with last year's group would have been a disaster offensively. Seriously, where would the offense come from? Thankfully, such a scenario will never happen.
lol dwight was in a suit while harden did all the work leading the team to the 2nd seed. Howard was stealing money from Les and couldnt even play back 2 backs Harden had the 3rd highest PER of any player in the 2015 playoffs
What rubbish! Howard played 70 games plus 5 post season. Experiment failed. I get it. But I'm fed up with people saying Howard didn't play back to back.
Why? You do know that's what they did at the beginning of the season right? So people saying it, aren't necessarily wrong. Dang, I wish Howard could've wrapped his head around the P'n'R. Funny people tarnish just Harden with the chemistry killer tag.
Totally agree!!! Don't you know it was Harden's fault that Steve Nash got injured and why Kobe and Dwight couldn't get along on the Lakers... One guy has a long list of burnt bridges while the other guy still gets praised by his past teammates.
Horford, George, Millsap, Favors, and Middleton are too high. There's a couple of them on there that were as well but I am just glancing at it
Here we go again with these assumption. Nobody knows the answer to this hypothetical question? Let's stick to real time data instead of what if data.
these are not impossible to answer that's how teams aquire players either by dtaft, free agency, or trade in any sport for starters, you honestly believe this team: cp3/pbev, brewer, ariza, dmo/jones, d12 coached by mchale/jbb will have more wins and reach further in the playoffs than this team? harden/austin rivers, reddick, wesley johnson, blake, deandre coached by doc
