I don't like the MKG comparison either.

If Morey had the first overall, a real asset, he would be shopping it so hard. He'd tease GMs with it for trolling him these past few years.

Neither Zeller nor Noel will be #1. Shabazz probably has the best chance of the three, but it's too early to tell with this draft. Going to have to wait and see how the next college season plays out.

Wasn't it early last summer when several said Harrison Barnes was a lock to go #1 this year? Gotta see how Noel and Shabazz handle the next level. While I have seen him very little, Noel doesn't impress me that much. IMO, he isn't on the same planet as Anthony Davis and will have a tough time following him at Kentucky.

Gary Parrish says Nerlens is better than Davis.

I don't see it, but take it for what its worth.

Pete Thamel (@SIPeteThamel): UCLA announces Shabazz Muhammad is in eligible. No time frame listed. UCLA believes it unjust and will fight it. Not good for Bruins.

Shocking but not at the same time. I still think the major programs in football and/or basketball need to break from NCAA and ditch the farce. I've got nothing against ~20-30 schools recruit and (openly) pay the serious pro prospects.

That, and the NBA needs to allow the NBDL pay the one and done kids a real salary.

Could Shabazz play SF in the NBA? Lin, Harden, and Shabazz all in the starting lineup would be LETHAL on offense...If shabazz is available when the Rockets are up do they take him?

Shabazz is a poor mans Harden... Rather tank 2014. 2013 draft is weak from top to bottom.

    Shabazz Muhammad

I know that we will have to wait until after the appeal but I really want the Rockets to spend some big money on him and bring him into the Rio Grande Valley Vipers for a year! Obviously we wouldn't be able to bring him up until next year! He would be a really awesome for for this team! We definitely could use him! Thoughts??

Does this mean Shabazz will play in Europe? I haven't heard what his plans are now.

Uhm no. Everything outside top 20 is meh, but the top 20 guys are more than solid. And Cody, Nerlens, Shabazz, McAdoo, Mitchell are huge talents. Plus there are multiple good Center prospects that would fill our needs.

Just my opinion but it seems very weak.

Cody Zeller doesn't play defense and lacks mobility to run up and down.

Nerlens has no offensive presence or post moves.

Shabazz got clowned by an underage Wiggins in the Nike Summit.

MacAdoo only scored just 6.3 points per game on 43 percent shooting and rarely plays any kind of defense (coming from a Tarheel FAN)

The main weakness for all these projected top 5 picks are they all are soft at there positions and lack superstar potential

Not saying there all going to be busts but the 2013 draft is filled with role players in the NBA.
