As a new cat on the prowl on the BBS, I just want to congradulate all of the "99ers" and all of those who have put in everything into Clutch Fans. This is a very big moment for us and the Rockets. Just don't lose sight of the big picture. Stay humble, hungry, and most of all motivated!

    WOOOO WE DID IT!!!!

Things I noticed this game that I have been screaming for all series:

    1) Ron had to be more assertive: Last couple of games he's kind of just dropped into the background, going with the flow of the offense and being more passive than aggressive. Granted he would still jack up a shot every once and awhile tonight he was in attack mode and went after the rim.

    2) A way to counter the fronting of Yao, is to drive baseline!: When they front Yao, they leave the backside (the paint area) wide open. If the man making the entry pass cant get the ball to yao cause he's being fronted, just drive it baseline, cause naturally the defender who is fronting will get sealed off by Yao as the play develops towards the baseline due to his fronting position. I saw Ron and Aaron do this a couple of times and they had easy access to the rim.

    3) Greg Oden is Benjamin Button: He battled Yao pretty well positioning wise but other than that, I feel pretty bad for him. He's under so much scrutiny and you can tell he's still raw on the offensive end...fumbling the ball off his feet, missing dunks haha

Great to see Ron can joke about 'going into the stands'..

even more comforting to hear some firmness in his tone when he said it's not about clearing the the first round.. and that's not what LA, Boston or Cleveland.. at least there's some resolve in his voice.

Ron brings toughness to this current rox team, that's what we lacked last couple seasons.
How sweet it is to be a rox fan
