Great gesture. I remember when Benedict visited and only 'meditated' so he would not offend anyone. This Pope is sticking to his guns. I actually respect the man.
That is true. Amazing isn't it, Jews, Christians, and Muslims worship the same imaginary celestial dictator in the sky, yet their history is replete with violence among one another and with those who don't believe their fairy tales.
This is a good step in the right direction. The Pope can help play a large role in resolving much of the anger and hate between these two religions that should be getting along more oft than not. Yes they disagree about things, but they are worshipping the same god and need to come to terms with each other. They are two brothers who have to kiss and make up, essentially. Hopefully this direction is continued and helps with some of the irrational hate that continues to brew.
