Our 2nd unit could probably make the playoffs in the East

    Think about our 2nd unit as is right now:

    Brooks
    Lin
    Garcia
    Casspi
    Asik

    Ok defense, good offense. Against these Eastern teams, I think they could find at least the #8 spot. I'd expect Brooks to avg around 15 ppg, Lin probably around 20 ppg, Garcia and Casspi around 10-15 ppg, and Asik to do what he did last year. In the West that's probably lottery bound, but they'd have a shot in the East.

    I'm just saying how amazing and lucky we are to have a 2nd unit that is practically starter quality. And I'm not even counting DMO and Brewer in this lineup. I hope McHale now sees how deep this team is and is able to keep the guys fresh throughout the season. I really don't think there is any reason to play any starter over 36-37 min unless it's against of the powerhouse teams or if the game is really close.

    Considering this lineup blew out the #3 seed in the East last night, I think they could :grin:

    That team is just as good as the suns and very similar.

    Lin = Bledsoe
    Brooks = Dragic
    Garcia = Green
    Casspi = Frye
    Omer = Plumblee

    In all seriousness, the East is THAT bad, and our 2nd unit prob could snag the 7th or 8th seed cause the East is THAT bad

    The East is Garbage. That line up is good enough against more than half of the teams in the East. Only the Heats and Pacers are good (great). The Bulls aren't even doing well this year.

    The Atlantic division is the joke of the NBA. The Raptors leading it at 6-8 and ranked 4th in the East!!! The Pelicans with the same 6-8 record ranked last in the SW and 3rd last in the West.

    Well Asik is a starter, one of the top 10 C's in the games, and Lin is proving himself to be the great playmaker and scorer we hoped when we signed him. Those are two guys who could start on most teams.

    AB has kind of had a few lost seasons, but it is clear he can still be an explosive scorer. Throw in Casspi,and Garcia who are both solid NBA rotation players, I agree this team could easily make the playoffs in the east.
